chris

Christopher Havner hails from Houston, Texas– and contrary to popular belief, did not ride a horse and buggy to school nor does he have a “Texas accent”. Mind blowing, eh? He did however grow up under the starry skies of the Texas countryside next to the cows and cotton fields. He got his start in musical theater and didn’t commit to dance until the age of 13 and would go on to dance at Houston’s High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA) and the Houston Ballet Ben Stevenson’s Academy. Coming to the wintry tundra that is Ohio, Chris found an amazing group of friends and will always remember the water gun in the dorms, that bucket-o-wata, and “yo hablo espanoooooool.” He plans to attend the Rotterdam Dance Academy next year in the Netherlands and eventually dance for a company in Europe. Christopher would like to thank his parents and family for carting him back and forth to dance class and supporting him over the years, and everybody in the Dance Department for putting up with him.

erin

Erin Hutfilz grew up near Nashville, TN and trained primarily in gymnastics, while dancing on the side, before coming to Ohio State. She has enjoyed her time here in the dance department but is now eager to see what the world has to offer. She wants move to Europe after graduation to hopefully pursue dance, but more so to simply pursue life.

Sarah Lehman
is first and foremost an artist. Dance is her medium of choice. She lives each day with little expectation but with great curiosity. She is thankful beyond words for the time she has experienced here in Columbus and appreciates the passion for dance that is so evident in this graduating class. It has been a true blessing to have the support of the friends and faculty that make up this amazing community that has contributed to her growth and pushed her beyond that of which she thought she was capable. Sullivant Hall has been her home for the past four years and she is amazed at how much she has developed both as an artist and a person within its walls. Ms. Lehman is truly excited to be performing in this concert and would like to thank her family for all of their generous support and all of her fabulous peers for their beauty, grace, intelligence, compassion and unconditional love of art.
