Theories and methods of research in dance studies; PhD core course. Prereq: Grad standing in Dance or permission of instructor. Not open to students with credit for 880. VSP Admis Cond course.

Offered every other year; required for PhD students, optional MFA students.

Writing assignments guide doctoral and MFA students through detailed practical application of the research methods, as well as tools for proposing, revising, conference presenting of a paper and preparing a bibliography toward an area of research interest.
