Graduate Teaching Associate
Emily Craver is a third year GTA at the Ohio State University pursuing an MFA in dance. She recently won a Graduate Associate Teaching Award. She graduated magna cum laude from Skidmore College with honors in dance. Emily dances for Shawnbibledanceco, Trainor Dance, Designated Movement & Company, St. Fortune, New Orleans-based CabinFeverLiveArt, as well as her performance group The Little Streams. Her work has been shown at The New 42nd Street Studios, Chen Dance Center's newsteps, Westfest's All Over Westbeth, Built on Stilts, The Comedy in Dance Festival, and The PIT. Her full length works Tandem Bike for One, Please (2016), Real World: Supernova (2017) and Ladies in the Water (2018) have all been produced and presented at Triskelion Arts. She has performed at Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art, Joe's Pub, Jacob's Pillow Inside/Out Stage and The Yard. She has taught Contemporary Practice, Contemporary I, Tap I/II, Jazz II/III, and Ballet I at The Ohio State University as a Graduate Teaching Associate. Her interests include the performative aspects of a person’s online and digital self, the insidious invisible codes dictating daily interactions with body and technology, and the ways interactivity in performance can enliven and illuminate these relationships.
