

The Department of Dance proudly announces that Assistant Professor Alfonso Cervera will present six original choreographic Ballet Folklóricoworks as part of the Día de los Muertos 2025 celebration at the Wexner Center for the Arts on Friday, October 24, 2025.
These vibrant new works will be performed by Ohio State Department of Dance students: Leah Casiello, Adrianna Little-Graves, Aiyana Person, Emily Soehl, Aïda de Souza-Nianduillet, Alex Vanzant, Kris Aldemir, Kelly Chen, Olivia Schweinhagen, Andrea Tinajero Perez, and Jayna Zeltner, who bring to life Professor Cervera’s choreographic vision that fuses tradition, innovation, and community storytelling. Cervera has specifically crafted works that bring to life dances of Afro-Veracruz and Chihuahua.
About the Event
Join the Wexner Center for the Arts for a community-wide celebration honoring life, memory, and cultural heritage hrough music, dance, and art. The evening features live performances, food, and activities for all ages.
