Join us on our YouTube channel for the premiere of Wehnu Saï, which is danced by 140 people in the Department of Dance at The Ohio State University. Directed by Prof. Mitchell Rose and choreographed by Prof. Momar Ndiaye, it was made as a response to the forced isolation of the pandemic. One piece of Africanist choreography is broken into 2-3 second phrases. A torrent of images surge by, but in the midst of the chaos there is choreographic continuity, a visual representation of Wehnu Saï, which means "unity in many."
