Assistant Professor Kym McDaniel installed her 3-channel visual art installation, “Gutted”, at the Ann Arbor Film Festival’s Off The Screen! The installation ran from March 25 to March 30 in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The Ann Arbor Film Festival is the oldest avant-garde and experimental film festival in North America, founded in 1963. The festival is internationally recognized as a forum for independent filmmakers and artists. This is Professor McDaniel’s second time being part of the festival, with her film “a story that doesn’t have to do with me” screening in Films in Competition - Out Night in 2023.  

As part of the festival, Professor McDaniel was also invited to be one of ten artists to present at the Film Art Forum event on March 27.
