The Department of Dance at The Ohio State University is proud to share that Assistant Professors Alfonso Abraham Cervera and Dr. Irvin Manuel Gonzalez have been invited to present their evening-length work Nostalgia Pop with Primera Generación Dance Collective at the XXVII Muestra Internacional de Danza Tijuana “Cuerpos en Tránsito” 2026.

Recognized as an important and impactful international festival at the heart of contemporary dance performance, “Cuerpos en Tránsito” brings together artists from across Mexico, the United States, and Latin America, serving as a vital platform for artistic exchange and innovation.

This invitation highlights the continued impact of their collaborative artistic research, engaging transnational dialogues around identity, memory, and contemporary performance practices across the U.S.–Mexico border.

Nostalgia Pop will be presented on April 30, 2026, in Tijuana, Mexico.
