The College of Arts and Sciences selected Associate Professor Abby Zbikowski to receive a 2025-2026 ASC Mid-Career Faculty Excellence Award, which recognizes outstanding performance in all three areas of research, teaching, and service of mid-career faculty at the time of review for promotion to professor and is selected by the college promotion and tenure faculty review committee. The review committee was impressed by Zbikowski's many accomplishments.

In addition to the award’s recognition, Zbikowski will receive a one-time $1,000 award in support of her academic work. 

To celebrate her achievement along with those of other Arts and Sciences honorees, the College of Arts and Sciences will be hosting a Spring Recognition Reception at The Daley Family Pavilion and Terrace at the Blackwell from 4:00-6:00 pm on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
