Dr. Valarie Williams and Ambre Emory-Maier served as consultants for the George Balanchine Trust during Paul Boos' staging of the iconic ballet, Serenade, on the Cincinnati Ballet for Director's Vision: Liberty in Motion, which was performed April 10-12, 2026, at the Aronoff Center for the Arts. They checked both existing Labanotation scores of the work for their accuracy in comparison with Boos' staging and engaged in dialogue around the differences of each historical score and the current staging, mapping the history behind each score.
