Medicine Poems & Confessions for Every Apocalypse
In this new collaboration, artists Guillermo Gómez-Peña and Paloma Martinez-Cruz of the performance troupe La Pocha Nostra will expose the intimate ailments of border crossers, insomniacs, and illegal identities throughout the Americas. Join this dynamic team for medicine poems, rituals, and confessions to incite resistance and resilience in the face of every apocalypse. Featured performers include Balitrónica Gómez, Irvin Gonzalez, and Alfonso Cervera. Doors will open at 7, with the performance starting at 7:30. This event is free and open to the public. Sponsored by the Latinx Studies Program of the Center for Ethnic Studies, the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, the Department of Dance and the Humanities Institute.
