On March 20 - 22, 2017, Ohio State Dance Alumni and Artists/Somatic Practitioners Yuji Oka and Stephanie Gottlob visited the Department of Dance for a film showing of A Miracle Child and Polarities followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers. They also held several Spiral Praxis masterclasses with dance students about modern internal flow techniques, a bodymind system based on dance principles of flow, which is part of their signature somatic healing technique used to manage chronic injuries and pain. The residency was co-sponsored by the Ohio State Department of Dance and the Nisonger Center.

Filmed over two years, the documentary not only shows Aidan’s motor progress but also the many facets of his life with his family and the special needs community" (Spiral Movement Center).
