Our Barnett Theatre has just transformed from a proscenium stage to a theatre-in-the-round, inviting choreographers and designers to explore its wide-open spaces for our 50th anniversary concerts. To celebrate this anniversary, we announce our new Dance Innovation Fund to support technology, equipment, and facilities keeping Ohio State Dance at the forefront of innovation in the field of contemporary dance.
This issue of InForm celebrates our last semester. The second Brazil Dance Tour Group spent an exhilarating two weeks performing, taking class with dance masters, and engaging in cultural exchange in Salvador and Lencois, Brazil. Our School Tour Group connected with children in eleven Columbus schools. We strengthened our collaborations with community partner Suzan Bradford Kounta and the Thiosssane West African Dance Institute. And we give a big shout-out to our remarkable Production Manager Carrie Cox.
