Dance GTAs Emily Craver and Kathryn Logan Win 2020 Graduate Associate Teaching Awards

Emily Craver and Kathryn Logan

Please join us in warm applause for Emily Craver and Kathryn Logan, recipients of 2020 Graduate Associate Teaching Awards. The GATA is Ohio State’s highest recognition of the teaching done by graduate students. Approximately 3,000 graduate students serve as GTAs each year. Ten recipients are selected each year and are awarded $1,500.

Instead of the surprising these instructors in their classrooms, Dr. Alicia Bertone, Dean of the Ohio State Graduate School, surprised them with phone calls last Friday.

For Ohio State Dance GTAs to receive two of these awards in the same year is testimony to the remarkable teaching of Kathryn and Emily. It shines a bright light on them---and on our department. We congratulate all the nominees and GTAs from our department. Your teaching makes a major contribution to the superlative instruction for which this department is known across the campus.
