Ohio State Dance congratulates the Dance Notation Bureau on their 80th Anniversary! 

"Four girls gathered to discuss the notation differences and John Martin encouraged them to form a center to iron out the differences...Later he published an article about the center and named the center 'Dance Notation Bureau' in the New York Times on May 15, 1940, thus the DNB was formed."
