The National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) awarded Ohio State Dance Professor Nyama McCarthy-Brown with the 2021 Outstanding Dance Educator (Higher Education) Award, to be presented at the 2021 NDEO National Awards Ceremony Virtual Event on September 14, 2021 at 8 p.m. EDT. 

“The NDEO 2021 Outstanding Educator (Higher Education) Award is given to a stellar dance educator from the membership who has had a significant impact in their community and inspires and motivates their students,” says Chair of the NDEO Awards Committee Mary Fitzgerald. “Thank you [Dr. McCarthy-Brown] for your exemplary work and innovative contributions to the field of dance education.”
