Damian works directly with the College of Arts and Sciences marketing and communications team and the Department of Dance chair to support marketing, communications, recruitment and event planning needs. He manages, maintains and develops content for the department’s website, blog and social media channels; partners to develop print publications and promotional materials and advertising; supports recruitment events and initiatives; plans and executes special events and serves as the department’s advancement (development and alumni relations) liaison.

Before joining the Department of Dance staff, Damian was the graduate studies and publicity coordinator for The Ohio State University Department of Theatre where he taught Theatre 2811: The Craft of Acting. He also served as a liaison between the Department of Theatre and the Graduate School, managed the recruiting and admission of graduate students, designed posters and programs for many productions, planned and edited the annual department magazine Encore, worked with the unit liaison for the College of Arts and Sciences to produce public relations material, and co-managed the department website.  

Damian also worked as the development coordinator for the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA), a fellow at CATCO, a graduate assistant at The Ohio State University Department of Theatre, an actor/teacher for the Phoenix Theatre for Children, and an English, speech, drama, and yearbook teacher at Van Buren High School.

Damian has acted regionally at A Portable Theatre (APT), CATCO, Porthouse Theatre, Ohio Chautauqua, Wexner Center for the Arts, Phoenix Theatre for Children, Huron Playhouse, Showboat Becky Thatcher, and Findlay SummerStock. Highlighted performances include Tales from the Grave at A Portable Theatre, The SeafarerThe FoursomeThe UnderpantsArsenic and Old LaceEscanaba in da Moonlight, and The Laramie Project at CATCO. Damian is a member of the Actors’ Equity Association and an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. He lives in Westerville, Ohio with his wife, Marlene, who is an elementary teacher for Columbus City Schools. The couple have been married for 27 years and have two sons, Andrew and Aiden.
